FSU OL commit standing with HC Mike Norvell

2025 FSU OL commit gets a 5th star from Rivals

Mike Norvell and the Noles have seen quite an uptick in high school recruiting over the past two years and Alex Atkins has undoubtedly been a huge part of that. He’ll have another opportunity to add a feather to his cap with 2025 OL commit Solomon Thomas, who earned his fifth star from one of the major national recruiting services, Rivals. Standing at 6-foot-4 and weighing in at 315 pounds, the Rivals Top 250 player currently sits at 18th nationally in the latest recruiting update.

“Thomas is also more athletic than the usual interior offensive lineman, an important part of today’s game for interior players, and so a move to five-star was warranted for those reasons and many more.”

Although he is still a four-star in the On3 and 247 databases, Thomas is also a five-star in the 247 Composite rankings with a player rating of 0.9875. He ranks 19th nationally and is the top-ranked interior offensive lineman in the 2025 class. In fact, according to the “all-time commits” list for FSU, Thomas would be a top 50 recruit in FSU history, which is among some elite company.

The Jacksonville Florida native out of Raines High School committed to the Seminoles in December of 2023 choosing FSU over in-state rivals Florida and Miami. Thomas also holds offers from teams like, Alabama, Clemson, and Ohio State, which speaks to his talent level. Landing Tomas was a big pick up for the FSU staff and is part of a talented 2025 class with current Blue-Chip commits Tramel Jones Jr. (QB), Javion Hilson (Edge), and Ethan Pritchard (LB).

Signing day is a long way away for the 2025 class and as we know all too well, nothing is guaranteed in recruiting, but Alex Atkins has a history of landing highly coveted blue-chip offensive linemen. The Noles are in a good position with the in-state prospect and landing the first 5-star offensive lineman (Per 247 Composite) in over a decade would certainly be a nice feather in Atkins’s recruiting cap if he sticks. Thanks for reading and Go Noles!
