FSU Adds Massive Four-Star OL Commit Da’Ron Parks

Florida State’s 2026 recruiting class just got a massive boost with the commitment of four-star offensive lineman Da’Ron Parks. The 6-foot-5, 350-pound interior offensive lineman announced his decision on Saturday, July 26, choosing the Seminoles over a host of top programs, including Auburn, Ohio State, and Kentucky. Parks is a four-star prospect in the 247 Composite rankings as the No. 26 interior offensive lineman.

Parks’ commitment is a significant win for Mike Norvell’s staff, particularly for offensive line coach Herb Hand, who has made the imposing prospect a priority. Originally from West Virginia, Parks spent his junior season at Cardinal Mooney High School in Sarasota, Florida, before transferring back to Nitro High School in West Virginia for his senior year.

Parks cited a strong connection with the FSU coaching staff and the overall program as key factors in his decision. He also expressed his willingness to play wherever Coach Hand sees fit. Scouts laud Parks for his sheer size and power at the point of attack.

247Sports Director of Scouting Andrew Ivins describes him as a “gigantic offensive line prospect that wins at the point of attack with his sheer mass.” His near 6-foot-10 wingspan is also highlighted as an elite asset. While some analysts project him for a redshirt year to further develop his conditioning and technique, he is widely viewed as a potential multi-year starter at the Power Four level.

Parks brings high-level attributes that you can’t coach, like elite length and size combined with light feet, which make him a fluid mover. He’s strong in pass pro with his massive reach, and his power makes him a road grader in the run game. However, he does carry some extra weight at 350 pounds, so some time will need to be spent with Coach Storms. Nevertheless, the potential upside with Parks makes him a smart addition. Herb Hand has acquired massive bodies as he looks to rebuild the room, and Parks is no different. He fits the mold of what Hand likes in his scheme.

Parks’ pledge adds to an already strong 2026 recruiting class for Florida State, which now stands at 22 verbal commitments and is ranked within the top 15 nationally. He joins fellow offensive linemen Jakobe Green and Michael Ionata as the Seminoles continue their focus on building a physically dominant offensive line, an area of importance for FSU to address.
