Four New Kickoff Times Announced For 2025 Season!

As the 2025 football season draws near, we just got a new batch of details for the times and TV networks for four additional games. Of course, we already knew that the HUGE season opener between Florida State and Alabama in the newly renovated Doak Campbell Stadium will be a 3:30 kick on ABC. However, now we know the times for the second home game and three of FSU’s five away games. Let’s dive in!

9.6 vs east Texas A&M

Coming on the heels of the massive season opener is a much easier contest against the East Texas A&M Lions. This will be the first-ever meeting between the two programs and is slated for a noon kickoff airing on ACC Network. Nole Fans should drink plenty of water and bring sunscreen for this one! The Lions went 3-9 last season and are an FCS team, so this should be an opportunity for the Noles to correct any mistakes from week one and get some reps for the deepest of the depth chart.

9.26 at Virginia

Florida State’s first road game of the season takes them to Charlottesville, Virginia for a contest against the Virginia Cavaliers, which is also their first conference game. Remember, this is a Friday game, too. This announcement confirmed what we expected that being a non-Saturday game meant it would likely be at night and that is exactly the case. The game will kick off at 7 pm (ET) and air on ESPN

The Cavs are coming off a 5-7 season, so both teams will be looking to improve in 2025. FSU holds a 14-4 advantage in the series all-time, but the Hoos have won 2 of the past 3 meetings including FSU’s last trip to Charlottesville (2019). The Noles are 6-3 all-time at Scott Stadium. This game comes after a bye week and home contest against Kent State and is a must-win for FSU.

10.18 at Stanford

Another first-time meeting for FSU will be their November 18th trip out west to take on the Stanford Cardinal in an ACC after-dark matchup. This one is a late kick for those of us on the East Coast starting at 10:30 pm (ET), and 7:30 pm (PT) airing on ESPN. As little sense as it makes for a trip to the West Coast to be an Atlantic Coast Conference game, this is college football in 2025…

The Cardinal are coming off a 3-9 season with a 2-6 record in their first season in the ACC. FSU should win this game but that trip out west with a late kick can be tricky ala Miami almost getting upset by Cal last season. FSU will be coming off a pair of home games against Miami and Pitt and will get a bye week after the long trip.

11.21 at NC STate

The one that might make every FSU fan nervous is the November 21st trip to Raleigh to take on NC State in the snake pit that is Carter-Finley Stadium. This is another Friday night game that will kick off at 8 pm (ET) and air on ESPN. After a shaky start last season, the Wolfpack rebounded to make a bowl game, but will certainly be looking for a better season in 2025. This will be the Noles’ final conference game of the year before a trip to the Swamp against the rival Gators.

NC State is currently on a three-game winning streak against FSU and the Noles haven’t knocked off the Wolfpack in Carter-Finley since 2016. FSU has only won twice in Raleigh since 2010, hence the snake-pit title. They came close in 2022 losing by a mere two points, but couldn’t pull out the victory in the end. FSU will be looking for payback against the Wolfpack in this Friday night contest. FSU will be coming off a home game against Virginia Tech whereas NC State will be returning from a trip to Miami.
