FSU’s Legacy Weekend presents a HUGE recruiting opportunity

Florida State’s spring practice session is underway, and while this is an important spring for the Noles as they prepare to make another run in 2024, it’s also a crucial time on the recruiting trail. FSU will host one of its biggest recruiting events this weekend (March 22^nd -24^th), coinciding with its annual Legacy Weekend.

In true Norvell fashion, this is a wise move by the coaching staff. Not only do you bring former Seminole greats back around the program and current team, but it also allows players who were in the same position as the recruits to sell the vision.

Last year FSU had headliner names like Jameis Winston and Jermaine Johnson II back on campus. We’ll have to wait to see the names that arrive this year, however, with FSU’s pro day being this Friday (March 22^nd) there will undoubtedly be a handful of members from the 2023 team around as well. We’ve already seen the likes of Jared Verse, Jarrian Jones, Akeem Dent, and others at FSU’s spring camp.

It’s a great time to host such an event and have former Noles on campus because FSU is expecting quite an impressive list of 2025 and 2026 recruits. According to a list released by 247 Sports, FSU will host over twenty blue-chip recruits throughout the weekend.

FSU has seen an uptick in high school recruiting since finding success on the field. This weekend will present a great opportunity for the staff to gain momentum with a lot of highly talented recruits.

Could there be a commitment watch for the weekend? We’ll have to wait and see. In the meantime, here is the list of recruits expected to be on campus per 247.
