Florida State landed a BIG commitment on Thanksgiving in more than one way. Not only did the Noles get a player at a position of need where they currently don’t have one, but it was also a big commitment in that it came in the form of a 6-foot-7, 215-pound wide receiver. Jordan Scott flipped his commitment for Arizona State to FSU coming off a visit to Tallahassee this past weekend during the Charleston Southern game.
Scott, the #1 ranked JUCO wide receiver in the On3 industry rankings (#2 in 247), liked what he saw and knows that when things get rolling again at FSU is a great place to be. He told 247 Sports, “The culture is great here. It’s like a college town. Great college town. Tallahassee, I actually love Tallahassee. I know when they win football games here, it is really live.” The immediate comparison is to former FSU wide receiver Johnny Wilson because of the size. Scott liked how FSU used Wilson and the success he had with the Seminoles and understands he can follow the same path.
Mike Norvell stressed the need at the position and how Scott could make an immediate impact which is exactly what he is looking to do. Scott hauled in 20 receptions for 358 yards and 4 touchdowns in 8 games at Southwest Mississippi College this season. He has two years of eligibility remaining. Jordan Scott becomes FSU’s 13 commitment in the 2025 class which now ranks 37th in the 247 Composite. Thanks for reading and Go Noles!
