FSU lands an International Offensive Line Commit for 2026

It’s been a busy month for Tribe 26, and the momentum didn’t slow down over the weekend as FSU picked up another commitment, this time from massive 2026 offensive lineman Luke Francis. The international prospect, originally from South London, England, showcased his potential at a recent FSU camp, earning an offer and ultimately choosing the Seminoles. A good friend of mine was at that camp and told me Francis stood out among the rest, and the staff was all over him.

Francis, who stands at 6-foot-5 and weighs in at 335 pounds, was not widely known to college recruiters until his impressive showing at FSU’s “Big Man Camp” last week. He had previously received offers from Syracuse and Georgia State, but his performance in Tallahassee quickly caught the eye of the Noles. After showing his abilities on both the offensive and defensive lines, primarily with offensive line coach Herb Hand and defensive line coach Terrance Knighton, Francis received a scholarship offer from head coach Mike Norvell. The commitment came soon after, with Francis taking an official visit to Florida State over the weekend and making the decision public on Sunday.

“It’s truly amazing,” Francis stated previously about the FSU offer, highlighting the coaching staff’s dedication to player development and personal growth. “The coaches are tough, but not only do they care about you as a player, but also as a person. They understand you aren’t just a football player. They want you to launch in more aspects of life in general.”

Francis’s journey to American football is a testament to his dedication to success. He has only been playing the sport for a couple of years, having previously been part of the NFL Academy in England. He is set to finish his high school career this year at Coral Gables High in South Florida.

While currently unranked by most recruiting services, his sheer size and rapid development have caught the attention of FSU’s coaching staff, earning him the offer. We’ve seen in the past where FSU will make a move to get on an underrated or unknown prospect early in their recruitment. I imagine Francis will soon earn a star rating somewhere in the three-star neighborhood before it is all said and done.

He is expected to play on the offensive line for the Seminoles, where his physical presence and raw talent can be honed into a potential starter in the coming years. However, he also offers some additional upside, being able to work as a defensive lineman if things don’t work out on the offensive side of the ball.

Luke Francis’s commitment adds a crucial piece to Florida State’s 2026 class after three-star offensive line commit Xavier Payne decommitted from FSU on Sunday. Francis joins legacy commit Michael Ionata as the Seminoles’ two offensive line commitments for the 2026 class. Tribe 26 is ranked 15th in the On3 Industry Rankings and 19th in the 247 Composite.
