Florida State added to its 2026 recruiting class on Sunday with the commitment of promising three-star defensive lineman Wihtlley Cadeau. The 6-foot-5, 295-pound prospect out of Booker T. Washington high school in Atlanta, chose the Noles after an official visit that left Tallahassee feeling like home.
In his post-commitment comments, Cadeau mentioned the family feeling, brotherhood among players, and excitement around the staff. Terrance Knighton first offered him after being scouted in person at his school, which led to the official visit invite.
Cadeau offers upside potential and already possesses great size. He’s the 54th ranked defensive lineman in the 2026 class according to the 247 Composite Rankings. Before you roll your eyes over another three-star commit, Cadeau held 15 offers including names like Georgia, Georgia Tech, Florida and South Carolina.
According to DawgsHQ (On3’s UGA site), Cadeau was a priority target for UGA, so that’s a pretty strong endorsement. Speaking of the Dawgs, Cadeau is still planning to take an official visit to Athens, so FSU will have to battle to fight off the in-state competition. However, he did cancel an upcoming visit to UCF.
Cadeau becomes the first defensive line commitment and tenth overall for the Seminole’s 2026 class. Tribe 26 is currently the 24th-ranked class according to the 247 Composite. Thanks for reading and Go Noles!
