- Ousmane Kromah
- Sophmore
- Running Back
- 6’1, 225 pounds
- Leesburg (Ga.) Lee County
Background: Kromah was an elite recruit coming from one of the South’s premier programs. The Florida State Seminoles won a long and arduous recruiting battle with Auburn, Georgia, Clemson, and many other programs for Kromah’s signature.
2025: Started two of 12 games, with the Florida State athletics website having granted Kromah with rushing 72 times for 408 yards, a 5.7 yards per carry average, but no touchdowns. An elite yards-after-contact runner, Kromah averaged 4.1 yards after encountering a defender.
Kromah’s explosiveness was already proven. His 2025 performance included 22.2% of his rushing attempts going for 10 or more yards, per Pro Football Focus. For comparison, Notre Dame Heisman finalist Jeremiyah Love’s percentage was 19.6%. Kromah displayed his versatility last season.
Nine receptions for 147 yards, a 16.3 average, and 1 touchdown. With Mike Norvell being the play caller once again, and his propensity to utilize running backs, expect Kromah’s workload to increase as a runner, for sure, and as a pass catcher, too.
2026 Expectations: Kromah will be counted on to carry much of the rushing load, especially while the Noles break in Auburn transfer quarterback Ashton Daniels, to offer defenses a good dose of power football mixed with a slashing and powerful runner. If Kromah reaches 150 carries, it bodes well for the Seminoles’ chances of rebounding this next season; Kromah should be the bell cow running back even with Quintrevion Wisner coming over from Texas.
As noted above, Kromah’s dual-ability will come in handy. Expect to see him used in the passing game much more than several other running backs who tote the football as feature runners. In crunch time, FSU is likely to place the football–and the game–in Kromah’s hands.
